The Ghost of Love
by Nancy Luis
The mystery of life I like the
most,
is finding out about love's ghost.
It's not exactly clear its motives,
but once love leaves you, it creates a shadow of
it's own.
It imitates the past in the new, and
plays tricks on you.
Reminding you that you have somehow been
here, done that, with a different
someone. But, in the back of your mind, you
know that its new,
and dismiss the fact that the ghost
of love is warning you not to travel
again in the
Past.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Come and enter into my broken
heart,
which has been torn to pieces and taken apart.
Come and witness the emptiness,
that has been left due to carelessness.
Come and be part of my heart, since there is no-
one else to share it with.
Come and see for yourself, how it is
to live in loneliness.
Come, and enter my broken heart.

Memories
by Nancy Luis
Traveling through the maze of
my mind
of which I go in and out of
all of the time. I go to seek out memories of
our past times together.
They all dwell there and
still remain fresh in my heart and very alive in the maze of
my mind.
The vividness and freshness
of the memories, are easily recalled, are easily accessed.
Of our child like adventures;
our meetings in the park; our deep kisses in the dark;
And our many lovemaking escapades.
Each time swearing unconditional Love.
They linger and linger, as if they were
on instant replay, over and
over they play, each time a bit longer,
Each time a bit sweeter.
This has become my reservoir,
where I can dip and replenish,
my weak and lonely heart.
From your wealth and
generosity of memories, I am
the lucky heir.
This forms the essence of what
we meant to one another, a
long, long time ago, in the
maze of my mind.
